TYC Landscaping has been given the assignment for hard and softscaping of Gisborne’s Hospitals new Te Whare Awhiora Mental Health and Addiction Services construction.
The building will gain both Zero Energy and Core Green certifications, international benchmarks in sustainability. This will reduce the ongoing cost and impact of the building on the Tairāwhiti community.
Our work will be contributing to the biophilic design, that will foster positive and sustained interactions and relationships among people and the natural environment.
Work is currently underway as of July 2024. We will provide further updates as the project progresses.
The scope of the project includes keeping existing trees on the site, while adding to the landscape with natives and tussock plantings. Features include, whariki patterned paving, feature pots and inset block seating with lighting.
